When I was in Headstart my dad started losing his hair. He came to visit my class one day and bent over and all the kids started pointing and laughing. One young man yelled out “Ohhhh your dad is bald headed”. I laugh about it now but back then I was mortified! I went home asked why my dad didn’t have hair, but I don’t think I quite understood because I started giving my dad head rubs/massage with hopes that I could bring his hair back.
We had a old 3 on tree jeep truck my dad forgot to put the parking break on and we lived on a hill. Yep down the hill into the wash it went!
Snowmobiling with my dad. Only girl let alone 16 years old. After 12 hours of riding we get back to the hotel. Coming out of the woods and all the guys jumping this huge snow hill. Dad waved for me to go around while added another mile or so on to the hotel i said forget that you the gas and dad was so scared he ended up stopping because he was yelling at me to go around I hit that jump so fast and landed. All his friends teased him because he was too “scared” really he was just trying to stop his only kid from jumping a dangerous mountain of snow haha
It was always funny when he would forget his kids names because we were such a big family.
No matter how hard the task was for me, he would always tell me how he would walk to school in the snow uphill both ways.
